Carrie Villani Joins SMPS NY Board as Westchester Affiliate Director

Carrie Villani, Director of Marketing at LERA Consulting Structural Engineers has joined the Society for Marketing Professional Services New York Chapter (SMPS NY) 2021-2022 Board of Directors as the as Director of Westchester/Hudson Valley Affiliate (WHV). Villani is excited to welcome AEC industry leaders to connect with WHV through engaging events, committee participation, and community involvement.


LERA Consulting Structural Engineers (LERA) is an M/WBE structural engineering firm providing services to architects, owners, contractors, and developers. Since their founding in 1923, they have designed numerous landmark projects across the world, and established a strong reputation for design and technical excellence. LERA’s services include complete structural designs, feasibility studies, peer reviews, value engineering, blast analysis and design, forensic consulting, assessments, and inspections. Headquartered in New York City, LERA also operates offices in Mumbai, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Seoul and has completed projects in over 50 countries.

The Westchester Hudson Valley Affiliate facilitates events and community interaction on topics that are vital to the AEC industry in the region. At the variety of annual gatherings we host including development panels, project tours, and regional activities, we bring together the local community and open opportunities to meet those impacting the places we live and work.

Welcome to Westchester Hudson Valley! I am so pleased to take on the leadership of the SMPS New York Westchester Hudson Valley (WHV) Affiliate as Director, and I welcome you to get involved!


The WHV region stands as an economic powerhouse in the Northeast. WHV has tremendous growth opportunities in transit oriented development, residential, adaptive reuse, healthcare, life sciences, biotech, academic, infrastructure and so much more! If you are an AEC firm working in the WHV region, located here or just interested in the amazing projects we have going on, we want you to be a part of the WHV Committee.


Connect with the national SMPS network and our local SMPS New York Chapter leadership and members. Bring opportunities to your firm, your career and your personal growth by connecting with other AEC marketing, business, development and communications professionals who are transforming their firms through leadership.


We look forward to a year full of collaboration, engagement and the exchange of ideas. Our in-person and virtual events include development panels, networking Spirits, local site and project tours and are often partnered with other industry organizations including AIA Westchester + Hudson Valley, ULI Westchester Fairfield, the Construction Institute, Commercial Real Estate Women New York, and National Society of Professional Engineers | Westchester Putnam Chapter.
