Growth and Transformations at LERA
As our firm continues to grow and evolve, the Partners of LERA have some news to share.
SawTeen See has elected to withdraw from the firm at the end of this year. Following her Master of Engineering degree from Cornell University, SawTeen joined the firm 40 years ago. She has been a Partner since 1986, and became Managing Partner in 1991, all while continuing in the design of her projects. A few of her notable projects, as Partner-in-Charge, include the National Constitution Center, the Baltimore Convention Center Expansion, the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Museum, the Shanghai World Financial Center, Lotte World Tower, the new Temple University Library, and PNB 118 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Both SawTeen and Les are restless folks who will, of course, remain active. Rest assured, they will continue to do the things that excite them. From time to time, we will call upon SawTeen regarding one or another of our projects. We will miss her, but we are excited for her.
Winnie Kwan will take on more responsibility by filling the role of Co-Managing Partner with Rick Zottola. Together, they make a formidable pair, and they are committed to running a thriving practice that provides engineering services at the pinnacle of our profession. If you have worked with Winnie, you already know that she is talented and tireless, and, like all of us at LERA, she is dedicated to the success of our clients, our projects, and our firm.
We would also like to note that LERA will retain our status as a Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE).
Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that our Associate Partner ranks are growing with the promotions of Patrick Hopple and Jason Stone. Both are extraordinary engineers whose contributions make us stronger every day. More to follow!
We will continue to advance our goal of developing the most efficient and reliable ways to deliver complex structural designs—the hallmark of our practice—through the work of LERA+, LERA IMMERSE, and Supple. We will keep you informed of these initiatives as they evolve to bring the best engineering talent and technology together for our clients, and we look forward to great things in 2018 and beyond.
Wishing you a happy holiday season,
Bill, Rick, Dan, Elias, Nayan, Winnie and Ben
