Rehabilitation of Husted Hall
State Univeristy of New York | SUNY Albany
LERA was the structural engineer for a major renovation and rehabilitation of Husted Hall, a historic building on the SUNY Albany Downtown Campus. The renovation converted Husted Hall from a mixed-use office administration building to a technology-oriented classroom and office conference center.
The project involved the renovation of the existing basement kitchen/dining facility, the relocation of elevator and egress stairs, new skylights and multi-story light wells and the conversion of attic space into a new mechanical room. In addition, significant mechanical infrastructure upgrades were made to the adjacent Richardson Hall mechanical plant.
